What Are the Conditions of my Internship Visa ?

The Bali Internship Visa

  • This visa is valid for a single entry only, which means it becomes invalid if you leave Indonesia during your stay. We recommend traveling to nearby countries before entering Indonesia or after the completion of your internship.

  • The visa allows a maximum stay of 180 days from the date of arrival.

  • A host company sponsorship letter is mandatory for the application. Our agency can assist you in obtaining the letter through our eligible partner companies.

  • Receiving a salary is not permitted. Violating this rule may result in fines, cancellation of your internship, and revocation of the visa.

When should I start my Visa Application process?

Once your visa is issued, you have 90 days (3 months) to enter Indonesia before it expires. For this reason, it is recommended to start your application 2–3 months prior to your planned arrival, as the visa processing itself typically takes around 2 weeks.

Can I extend my Internship Visa ?

Your visa is valid for a period of six months, so no extension is required. You must leave Indonesia before the visa expires and apply for a new visa if you wish to return to Bali. Your visa is linked to your host company, so you cannot remain in the country if you are no longer associated with them through your school agreement. Your host company acts as your guardian until your departure.

Can I receive a Salary under my Internship Visa?

No, the internship visa prohibits any form of paid employment.

The primary challenge stems from the country’s stringent immigration and labor regulations for foreign nationals. Indonesia aims to safeguard local employment, leading to comprehensive regulations governing internship programs for foreigners.

We exclusively collaborate with legally compliant companies that adhere to all necessary paperwork. This ensures that you can be sponsored legally under the right internship visa.
